Project Description:
PICSPAVE was installed by Paverprint in the 1990’s at this Thames riverside location in the historic market town of Wallingford to complete the refurbishment of an old historic building into a new and vibrant bar and restaurant. Attractive low maintenance paving was required for the outside drinks and dining area overlooking the Thames and an adequate serviceable hardstanding for the modest carpark / vehicular area to enable large commercial delivery vehicles easy access onto the site from the busy road crossing at Wallingford Bridge.
Project Requirements:
A priority was to be in keeping with the architecture and heritage of the local area and the second was to be able to withstand the frequent winter flooding of the large lower terrace area without moving or damaging this paved area. Over thirty years later, the paving is still delivering perfectly on both fronts.
