The area has been redeveloped by award winning developer Places for People Urban Splash, and the first stage of a multi stage masterplan has been completed. PICSPAVE was chosen for the pedestrian paving areas around the canal side residential development. Textured imprinted paving was installed throughout the areas, where DCS the installation team created a bespoke imprint using steel rebar imprints to create an industrial feel de-signed to blend with the existing warehouse properties.
Project Requirements:
Places for People Urban Splash chose the flexibility and creative benefits of PICSPAVE to create a unique paving finish to suit the canal side environment. PICSPAVE is installed as a minimum 100mm slab of durable high strength mix design concrete with pattern, texture and colour added to the surface. PICSPAVE is used widely across the commercial development sector to handle heavy footfall and vehicle traffic volumes, particularly across Housing Schemes, Zoos and Theme Parks, where individual design, longevity and PICSPAVE removes any issue of loose slabs, block paving movement or loose gravel suffering from vegetation occurring as they inevitably degrade over time.
