PICS Colour Surface Hardener is a professional dry-shake colour hardener used as part of the PICSPAVE stamped concrete system. This ready-to-use broadcast material is applied to freshly placed concrete and trowelled into the surface before pattern stamping and texturing.
Formulated with graded crystalline silica quartz aggregates, premium cements and a proprietary admixture package, it creates a densified, high-strength wearing surface with superior abrasion resistance and durability. The Colour Surface Hardener provides the project’s base colour and integral pigmentation, with the option to create authentic two-tone antiqued effects
when contrasting Antique Release Agent powder is applied, providing a more authentic, natural appearance to the finished surface by enhancing the colour of the lower parts of the texture.

PICS Antique Release Agent (RA) is a pre-mixed coloured powder made from sub-micronic particles and designed to work seamlessly within the PICSPAVE pattern imprinted concrete system. RA ensures the clean, easy release of imprinting mats from the wet concrete surface and also assists in the finishing of the Colour Surface Hardener. When used in a contrasting colour, it creates secondary pigmentation in the lower points of the texture, adding depth, definition and a more authentic, natural appearance to the finished surface.
